On March 4 the 2011 Rube Goldberg Machine Contest was held at the  WCTC   Pewaukee Campus.  An unprecedented nineteen high school teams stepped up to this year's challenge: watering a plant in twenty or more steps.    The competition featured a variety of clever themes like Gotham City, Wall-E, George of the Jungle, Harry Potter, and even a real working  bathroom with functioning shower.

With all the amazing work these students put together it was no surprise  the competition was a very close race.  Five teams advanced to the  finals: Berlin High School, Janesville Craig High School, Kimberly High  School, Pius XI High School, and St. Catherine's High School.  In the  end Kimberly won first place with their Wall-E machine.  They went on to  compete at the National High school Rube Goldberg Machine Contest on  March 19 at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI.
