Fifteen of the very best teams from across  the US joined us on March 16 at WCTC for the 2013 National Rube Goldberg High School Contest as they competed for the national title of Rube  champion.

Just like at our Wisconsin Regional  Competition the challenge was to hammer a nail in 20 or more steps.  Teams  pulled out all the stops with machines that ranged in impressive designs from  the history of Rube, The Rugrats, a Willy Wonka-esque Chocolate Factory, and  even Santa's Workshop gone awry.

Six teams advanced to the finals:   Janesville Craig High School, Kimberly High School, Hoffman Estates High School,  St. Agnes High School, Minerva High School, and Red Bud High School.  Janesville  Craig took first place with their circus themed machine.  This is the second year in a row our Wisconsin Regional winner has taken first place at the  National Competition!
