Step 1: Select a partner school(s) or district and establish shared goals.

Step 2: Develop a partnership model that meets all stakeholders’ needs.  Possible ways to support the partnership include:

Advisory Board

Many schools have advisory boards that support the co-creation of solutions to perceived barriers.

Career-Based Learning

Offer the school/district career-based learning experiences (see career based learning experience examples)

Career Planning

Work with career services within the school/district to provide students with information and advice on STEM career options and university guidance.

Curriculum Input

Provide educators with input and feedback on STEM programs so they target real-world business needs (i.e. Industry 4.0, data science/analytics, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship).

Student Engagement

Through ongoing interaction with students companies can develop deeper relationships that provide students with a greater understanding of the business world, and allow the companies to recruit students for internships (in high school or college) for full-time careers.
