STEM Summer Camps & Programs
To help you navigate K-12 STEM summer programs' choices, we have gathered a list of local STEM programs for you to investigate and inspire the future STEM workforce.

Betty Brinn Children’s Museum
The Museum features interactive exhibits and engaging educational programs that promote school readiness, including the development of early literacy, beginning math and science concepts, and problem-solving, physical and social skills.
Beyond STEM
Beyond STEM creates real-world and technical experiences to inspire young tech innovators in the STEM field. Their unique curriculum and programming also provide opportunities for middle school students to exercise team work, leadership and communication skills.
Three Harbors Council - Boy Scouts of America
Scouting involves adventure, family, fun, character building, leadership skill development. In Scouting, boys and girls can access a variety of programs and events to grow into their very best future selves.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee
Every day, thousands of Milwaukee’s youth participate in academic and recreational programming which provides safety and support during critical hours of the day as well as meals, strong role models, organized athletics, and access to the arts. The STEAM Programming provides youth with engaging hands-on learning that fosters their interest and success in science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
Children’s Outing Association (COA)
COA Youth & Family Centers helps Milwaukee children, teens and families reach their greatest potential through a continuum of educational, recreational, and social work programs offered through its urban community centers and rural camp facility. COA’s programming continuum is comprised of 3 core focus areas: early child development, youth development, & community development.
Discovery World
Discovery World provides a fun and educational experiences through interactive exhibits and educational programs for families and students in Milwaukee, the region, and the state of Wisconsin. Its goal is to generate excitement for STEM, freshwater education, and careers in the minds of young people while playing a vital role in the workforce development pipeline.
Girl Scouts of Southeastern Wisconsin
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. GSWISE is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls. Girl Scouts offers every girl a chance to practice a lifetime of leadership, adventure, and success. GSWISE programs are in Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington, and Waukesha counties.
Havenwoods State Forest & Nature Center
In the center, kids can view seasonal exhibits, participate in drop-in activities or check out the live reptiles and amphibians. Don't forget to pick up species lists, geocaching adventure booklets, and many other publications. You can borrow binoculars, field guides, GPS units snowshoes, and other exploring tools for use at Havenwoods. Families can "Take Smokey for a Hike" or borrow a backpack with exploring tools and books.
Mad Science Milwaukee
Mad Science offers after-school programs that are fun and educational. The hands-on science programs cover different science topics including electricity, magnetism, optics, biology and more. They also offer workshops, special events, summer and vacation camps for ages 5 - 12.
Marquette Pre-College Outreach
Pre-College Outreach Programs at the Opus College of Engineering provides middle school and high school students with a variety of opportunities to experience engineering in action. The programs challenge students to be critical thinkers, problem solvers, and leaders to better society through engineering while visiting our state-of-the-art facilities and meeting current Marquette Engineers.
Milwaukee Area Technical College
In MATC’s Dual Enrollment Academy (DEA) high school studetns receive college-level training to begin careers in high-demand STEM fields. Throughout their senior year of high school, DEA students earn high school and college credits while spending the majority of their school day, both fall and spring semesters, at MATC. The DEA is designed for students attending high schools within MATC’s district.
Milwaukee County Federated Library Service
MCFLS provides collaborative leadership, advocacy, and support for high-quality resources and services to empower the capabilities and capacities of member libraries to deliver responsive and innovative library services to all residents of Milwaukee County.
Milwaukee County Parks - Wehr Nature Center
With a variety of programs for all ages, the Friends of Wehr supports Wehr’s mission of inspiring current and future generations to explore and value the natural world. Have your child join professional naturalists for outdoor adventures that spark their curiosity, make memories and lead to personal discovery during Adventure Summer Camps.

Milwaukee Public Museum
The mission of the Milwaukee Public Museum is to inspire curiosity, excite minds, and increase the desire to preserve and protect our world's natural and cultural diversity through exhibitions, educational programs, collections, and research.
MSOE Family Programs
Exploratory STEM programs for elementary through high school students allow for project-based learning on a college campus. Programs are offered throughout the school year and in the summer to fit your family's busy schedule. A variety of STEM programs provide endless opportunities to learn in a fun, hands-on environment.
Schlitz Audubon Nature Center
Schlitz Audubon is Milwaukee’s destination and resource for inspiring life-long learning about the natural environment. Their spacious outdoor classroom, talented environmental educators, and diversity of programs make for engaging experiences. From nature preschool to adult education programs, Schlitz Audubon Nature center truly has it all!
SHARP Literacy
SHARP partners with educators to foster a love of learning and brighten children’s futures through innovative STEAM-based experiential programs. They bring learning to life by actively engaging students with hands-on activities, educational tours, collaborative summer and after-school programs, mural projects, multi-generational reading programs, and more.
UW Madison Extension 4-H STEM
Robotics. Aerospace. Alternative energy. Engineering. Agri-science. These are just a few of the programs that Wisconsin 4-H youth participate in every day. Wisconsin 4-H Youth Development is providing cutting-edge programs for young people to learn real-world skills to prepare them for the challenges of today and tomorrow.
UWM College for Kids & Teens
College for Kids offers a variety of exciting hands-on learning experiences in math, science, fine arts and humanities for children in grades K-12. Programs are offered in the summer as well as throughout the school year.
UW Parkside Youth Programs
Youth camps that focus on transforming, engaging, and learning with small class sizes and one-on-one instruction from expert teachers. Campers apply what they’re learning in a hands-on lab setting to foster creativity and exploration through coding, technology, bioscience, and mindfulness.
Urban Ecology Center
Classes of students from local schools engaging in hands-on learning about science, nature and how to live more sustainably. It also attracks adventure seekers borrowing our outdoor recreational equipment, climbing the rock-wall in Riverside Park or canoeing in the lagoon in Washington Park
Zoological Society of Milwaukee
One of the largest zoo education programs in the country, hosting approximately 250,000 encounters with guests annually. Students learn about wildlife and the environment through several engaging and fun programs virtually or in-person, including fall, winter, and spring classes; summer camps; school programs, and Kohl’s Wild Theater.
