Wisconsin Regional Future City Competition

  • MSOE Kern Center 1245 N Broadway Milwaukee, WI 53202 (map)

Join us this Saturday for the Wisconsin Regional Future City Competition!

Future City is a hands-on competition where teams of middle school students demonstrate how engineers would change the world.  With the help of an engineering mentor and their teacher, spend months creating their cities of the future using SimCity software, creating a to-scale model using recycled materials, and writing an essay.  The challenge this year is to design a solid waste management system for your city.

Fifty-four teams of middle school students will be competing for the opportunity to move on to the National competition in Washington D.C. held in February.  The national winning team goes to Space Camp!

This awesome event is open to the public and you're encouraged to stop by and listen to the incredible ideas and solutions these students have engineered.  The best time to visit is after 10:00 am to see judging, or after 1:00 pm to see the finals round.
