2025 Excellence in STEM Awards
Nomination Form - Due September 30, 2025!
Please use this form to provide details of the nominee’s achievements in STEM. The information you provide will help the awards committee understand the scope of the nominee’s STEM involvement and their impact on the community.
Award Categories and Criteria
EDUCATION
Awarded to the educational institution whose curriculum, individual activities, and/or overall program demonstrates a unique approach and/or unparalleled commitment to promoting STEM awareness and improving the STEM competency of K-12 students.
Criteria: All state-accredited educational institutions (private, public, charter, choice, PK-12, technical college, college, or university) located in Wisconsin are eligible. Winners are not eligible to apply for two subsequent years.
Employer
Awarded to the employer that serves as a champion in STEM outreach and talent development. This industry leader actively demonstrates its commitment to improving the STEM competency of K-12 students through innovation, employee volunteerism, program participation, partnerships, and philanthropy.
Criteria: All employers that have a location in Southeastern Wisconsin are eligible. Winners are not eligible to apply for two subsequent years.
Individual
Awarded to the individual whose efforts at the strategic and/or “hands-on” level demonstrate a unique approach and/or unparalleled commitment to promoting STEM awareness and improving the STEM competency of K-12 students.
Criteria: The individual must live, work, or attend school in WI to be eligible. Winners are not eligible to apply for two subsequent years.
Partnership
Awarded to the business, government agency, association, foundation, or other organization whose educational outreach efforts, in partnership with a local school or community-based organization, demonstrate a unique approach and unparalleled commitment to promoting STEM awareness and improving STEM competency of K-12 students.
Criteria: All organizations (i.e., public sector, private sector, profit, not-for-profit, etc.), located in Wisconsin, are eligible for nomination in they are in a partnership with a school(s). Winners are not eligible to apply for two subsequent years.
Stemmy Award Nomination Form
Colleagues, partners and students are strongly encouraged to send letters of support (no more than 3) attesting to the nominee’s achievements. Please send the letters of support to mhaeger@stemforward.org and label them clearly with the nominee’s name and Stemmy Award category. All nomination submissions and letters of support must be received by September 30, 2025.
