MPS is hosting their 9th Annual STEM Fair on April 21, 2016 at the Peck Welcome Center at the Milwaukee County Zoo. Over 300 K-12 students from 42 schools will be presenting science fair and engineering design projects. Check out video from the event last year.
To make this event a great success, they are in need of volunteers, exhibitors, and donors!
Volunteers are needed as judges for student projects or day-of help.
If interested, fill out the form at https://bitly.com/mpsstemfair. You'll be contacted with a confirmation and specifics a few weeks prior to the event.
Have an exhibit or activity you would like to share with students?
Individuals and organizations who have interactive activities for students to engage with while waiting to be judged are needed. Students enjoy hands-on experiences to enhance their scientific and engineering knowledge. If you are willing to be an exhibitor at this year's STEM Fair, please contact Rochelle Sandrin, MPS Science Curriculum Specialist, at sandrirr@milwaukee.k12.wi.us

Willing to donate items to fill student backpacks or as prizes for STEM Fair winners?
Each year, we give student participants a backpack filled with items. Our winners from each grade band (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, & 9-12) also get awards for first, second, and third place. If you have items such as school supplies, college gear, educational products, cool gadgets, promotional gear, admission passes, summer camp experiences, or other fun items that you are able to donate for our students, please contact Lisa Martin by April 1, 2016.
If you have questions please contact Lisa Martin, MPS Science Teacher Leader, at martinL3@milwaukee.k12.wi.us or 414.777.7831.
