Women in STEM Career Day

Women in STEM Career Day is a one-day event for young women to learn about careers that require creative problem solving, encourages forward thinking, makes a difference in society, and shares the future of our world.

While attending the Women in STEM Career Day, participants will learn about career options in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) through exciting demonstrations and enjoy the opportunity to work in teams for hands-on projects. You will also get to know other young women who share your interests, and interact with college students, faculty and industry from STEM disciplines. At the end of the day you should begin to see yourself interested in a STEM profession.

Women in STEM Career Day is open to young women in ninth- through 12th-grade.  Individuals, chaperoned school groups and home school groups are all welcome. This program is a collaboration of faculty, staff, and students from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
