Cindy Collins Profile Picture.png

Cindy Collins is a high school science teacher in a suburban school district in Wisconsin.  She has taught students grades 9-12 over the past 16 years in many capacities, including Physical Science, General Chemistry, Advanced Chemistry, A.P. Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, as well as Alternative Education & Credit Recovery.

Over the past five years, to keep up with global market demand in the worker skill set, Cindy has shifted her mindset of teaching and learning from that of textbook content, to that of science content woven into a framework of problem-solving, collaboration, and empathy.  Recently, she and her General Chemistry classes have partnered with the  J.W. Speaker Corporation in collaborative project-based learning experiences and have continued to grow in our learning of Design Thinking methods.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, watching her two daughters (ages 8 & 11) grow and learn, watercolor painting, and learning to play the piano!
